FEM & Top Results in the 2026 CHE University Rankings
The recently published and eagerly awaited results of the university ranking for the subject group Business Administration / Economics / Business and Economics compiled by the Center for Higher Education Development (CHE) certify the Faculty of Economics and Management with an overall highly positive assessment. The data, derived from student surveys, the so-called departmental indicators, and other assessments, confirm in the field of “Business Administration”, that relevant academic offerings of our Faculty, specifically of the Bachelor’s in Business Administration and International Management, were ranked in the “top tier” among all universities and surveyed in no fewer than eleven different categories. Consequently, we were rated top-tier in areas such as “Overall Academic Experience,” “Support at the Start of Studies,” “Study Abroad,” “Academic Organization,” “Faculty Supervision,” “Course Offerings,” and so on. Further outstanding ratings, we received for our facilities, like library resources, and digital learning.
To take this opportunity we would like to thank everyone, who contributed to this truly remarkable success, like all faculty members, the staff of the Office of Study Affairs and the the ISP Office, the Examination Office, and all other administrative officers at our institution. Last but not least a big thank you to the FaraWiwi, the student council, and to all survey participants for spending time in finding their way throughout the quite detailed questionnaires!
We promise: These great results in the CHE ranking are a great motivation for us. For sure, we will continue in meeting all the above mentioned high and ever-increasing standards in the future as well.

1st Magdeburg-Braunschweig Economics Workshop
On Friday, November 28, 2025, economists from the Center of Evidence-based Policy Analysis (CEPA) at OVGU Magdeburg and from the Institute of Economics at Technische Universität Braunschweig met for a joint academic workshop. In addition to getting to know each other and exchanging ideas, the programme focused on presentations and discussions of current research projects from both institutions. The range of topics was broad, spanning from health economics laboratory experiments and analyses of the relationship between money and happiness to the importance of female role models in primary school for women’s later labor market participation.
Omar Martin Fieles-Ahmad and Mohamad Alhussein Saoud received the Best Presentation Awards. The workshop was a great success and is planned to continue next year in Braunschweig.
