Emmy-Noether Junior Research Group at the Chair of Management Science: DFG Funding Extended
We are pleased to share exciting news from the Chair of Management Science: the German Research Foundation (DFG) has approved the funding for the second phase of the Emmy-Noether Junior Research Group. This extension includes additional funding of approximately €600,000 and will support the group until mid-2028.
The Emmy-Noether-Program is one of the DFG's flagships designed to support outstanding early-career researchers. It enables them to qualify for a university professorship by independently leading a research group over a period of six years.
Professor Marlin Ulmer, who received this prestigious funding shortly before joining the Faculty of Economics and Management in 2021, has been investigating stochastic and dynamic decision-making problems in urban mobility and logistics. He works closely with Charlotte Ackva, Jonas Stein, and other international collaborators.
As part of this project, Charlotte Ackva will spend an extended research stay this spring with Professor Mike Hewitt at the Loyola University Chicago, further strengthening international collaboration within the group.
