"Most Inspirational Paper Award" for Ida-Anna Thiele and Christopher Schlägel
At the annual conference of the European Academy of Management (EURAM 2025) in Florence, the research paper authored by Ida-Anna Thiele, M. Sc., and Prof. Christopher Schlägel, both members of the Chair of Behavioral International Management, was honored with the Most Inspirational Paper Award in the Strategic Management Track “Artificial Intelligence, Data, and Digital Ecosystems.” Congrats from the Faculty! The paper, titled “Disentangling the Information Technology Capability-Firm Performance Relationship: A Meta-Analysis,” was selected by the reviewers based on its originality, relevance, theoretical and methodological accuracy, and clarity.

The Expert Prof. Sebastian Eichfelder at the German Bundestag
The Finance Committee of the German Bundestag has scheduled a "Public hearing on the immediate tax investment program" for 23 June. Prof. Sebastian Eichfelder, Head of our Chair of Business Taxation, is one of the experts, who is invited to counsel the committee and answer questions. According to current plans, Prof. Eichfelder will give a presentation on the relevant draft bill of the government factions ("for an immediate tax investment program to strengthen Germany as a business location") and in particular comment a draft given by the B90/The Greens: "Closing gaps in the tax system to enable more fairness, effectively combating tax fraud, and strengthening the state's revenue base".
Top Publication by Florentin Hildebrandt and Marlin Ulmer Released
The first publication in the top-tier journal Management Science (VHB rating "A+") by a member of our faculty, Prof. Franz Wirl, appeared in 1996. Just over 20 years later, in 2017, then-junior professor Sabrina Jeworrek achieved the second publication in this prestigious journal.

Congratulations to Florentin Hildebrandt and Marlin Ulmer from the Chair of Management Science, as well as their co-authors A. Strauss and Ž. Lesjak, on their paper:
"Integrated Fleet and Demand Control for On-Demand Meal Delivery Platforms"
Prof. Ulmer explains:
“We analyze how the positioning of restaurants within delivery apps influences user choices, using extensive real-world transaction data. Based on these insights, we develop an integrated and dynamic approach to optimize both customer decision-making and fleet management. Methodologically, we apply techniques such as Transformer Reinforcement Learning—similar to those used in large language models (LLMs).”
